HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 9, 2026) – The Holland City Council will look over three issues during Wednesday evening’s biweekly study session.
Staffers from the Holland Board of Public Works will present a Battery Energy Storage System proposal before the governing council to consider, while Executive Director Michelle Stempien of the Holland Museum has an annual update, and members of the Holland Department of Public Safety’s Police Services unit will go over their stance on license plate reader systems. Such surveillance units have been a matter of great discussion and debate among units of government throughout the country in recent weeks, with concerns of privacy and profiling being voiced by opponents.
The Holland City Council’s 6 PM study session is in the second floor training room of City Hall (270 S. River Ave.), and is open to the public.
