PORT SHELDON TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 29, 2026) – More details have been disclosed involving the death of a 53-year-old Grand Haven man while working on utility lines north of Holland last Friday afternoon.
First responders were dispatched to a residence on Holly Drive, in the vicinity of Blair Street and Butternut Drive, around 2:30 PM, following a 911 call from Spectrum. They found the lone, unnamed worker’s body in an extended bucket of a boom truck, and they learned that the victim had been working on lines in the area. Results of an autopsy performed at Corewell-Blodgett Hospital indicated that the worker died of an accidental electrocution.
The incident remains under investigation.
