DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Steph Curry scored 31 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 116-106 win over the Detroit Pistons Tuesday night.
Andrew Wiggins added 27 points as Golden State won its second straight to earn a split of its season-opening, four-game road trip.
Jerami Grant had 27 points and Josh Jackson added 17 for Detroit, which remains winless at 0-and-4. Derrick Rose recorded 15 points and seven assists in 26 minutes off the bench. The Pistons let a 12-point first-half lead slip away.
The Pistons look for their first win of the season when they host the Boston Celtics on Friday.
Pistons forward Blake Griffin and rookie guard Killian Hayes left last night’s loss against the Warriors with injuries. Griffin was elbowed in the jaw and fell to the floor in the second quarter. He was taken out of the game in the third quarter and placed in concussion protocol. Hayes sprained his right ankle in the third quarter and did not return.
It is not known if either player will be back in the lineup for Friday’s game against the Boston Celtics.
