GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 2, 2026) – No names or injuries were reported following a fiery two-vehicle crash between Hudsonville and Jenison on Friday night.
First responders were dispatched to the intersection of Port Sheldon Street and 18th Avenue around 10 PM, where a northbound SUV, driven by a 62-year-old Holland man, was going through the junction on a green light when it struck a southbound sedan, driven by a 33-year-old Wyoming man, which was trying to turn left in front of it. The force of the collision caused one of the vehicles to catch fire, but Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cassie Tolman didn’t say which one it was.
Both drivers were able to exit their vehicles safely, and a Georgetown Township Fire Department crew was able to put the flames out promptly. The incident remains under investigation.
