HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 17, 2026) – The home of Holland’s iconic symbol is ready for its close up and more.
Windmill Island Gardens opened for the season on Monday, with many visitors already touring the replica Dutch village from the 19th century, as well as the authentic DeZwaan Windmill imported from the Netherlands over six decades ago. While over 100,000 tulip bulbs planted in beds and fields are gradually blossoming, the island has been resplendent, according to Grounds and Horticultural Manager Emily VanStaalduinen.
Opening week festivities conclude on Saturday with the annual Run of the Mill 5K and the new Mini Millers Kids Run. More information is available here.
