LAKETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 11, 2026) – The Holland City Council may not hold a study session on Wednesday evening, but another municipal governing body from the Lakeshore will be busy.
It’s the first of two evenings of business meetings for the Laketown Township board, as it will hold public hearings for a proposed Fiscal 2027 budget, as well as for a grant application, at the township hall (4338 Beeline Rd.), beginning at 4 PM on Wednesday. It’s the first spending plan formulated by Stephanie Fox since she assumed managerial duties for the municipality last September, while the township is seeking a $150,000 Michigan Department of Natural Resources Passport Grant to help pay for planned new stairs at Laketown Township Beach. Wednesday’s meeting was moved up a couple of hours in order to have a quorum of board members attending.
A special trustees meeting to vote on both matters is slated for 6 PM on Thursday, also at the township hall. An online link for meeting agendas, supporting documents, and more is here.
