ZEELAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 26, 2026) – A 21-year-old Grand Rapids woman was hospitalized after her SUV collided with a dump truck east of Zeeland on Wednesday night.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cassie Tolman, the unnamed woman was westbound on Chicago Drive (M-121), approaching 72nd Avenue, when her vehicle slammed into the two-trailer semi, which was attempting to go through a median crossing. She was taken to an undisclosed “area hospital” by AMR ambulance, while the trucker, a 24-year-old Wyoming man, was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation, and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
