OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 20, 2026) – First responders aren’t the only ones who should be ready for an active shooter event at any time.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is holding another Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events class on Monday, March 9th, from 6-8 PM in the Administration Building of the county’s Fillmore Street complex (12220 Fillmore St.) in West Olive. Deputies and other officials will be on hand to instruct attendees on strategies, guidance, and a proven plan to get through such a life-threatening, emergency situation.
The session is free to attend, but participants must be at least 18 years old (older teens can come with a parent or guardian), with a picture ID from a driver’s license/state-issued card. Space is limited, and registration is required through this online link.
