WRIGHT TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 18, 2026) – Two drivers are expected to recover from injuries suffered when a pickup rear-ended a sedan on I-96 between Coopersville and Marne on Tuesday morning.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Knott following the incident around 10:20 AM. It appeared that a 37-year-old Ludington man, driving an eastbound passenger vehicle, was being held up by slow traffic ahead near 32nd Avenue when it was struck by the truck, driven by a 38-year-old Muskegon man.
The sedan driver had to be taken to an unnamed “area hospital” with non-life threatening injuries, while the pickup motorist was treated for bumps and bruises at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
