Hope swept a pair of games from Olivet yesterday. In Holland, Orion Yant scored 16 points as the Flying Dutchmen rallied to win, 68-64. At Olivet, Anna Richards had 11 points, while Terin Manyard and Sydney Vis each tallied 10, as the visiting Flying Dutch prevailed, 81-43. Hope’s teams take on the Albion on Wednesday evening, with the men meeting at the Dow Center in Albion, and the women at DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland.
Grand Valley State took a pair of basketball games from visiting Parkside at the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale yesterday. Paige VanStee had 15 points, while MacKenzie Bisballe added 14, as the women won the opener, 74-56. Mason Docks and Ethan Alderink each had 14 points as the Lakers took the men’s nightcap, 73-57. GVSU’s teams are in Kochville Township on Thursday evening to clash with Saginaw Valley State.
