SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 9, 2026) – Changes to Saugatuck’s Short Term Rental Licensing Ordinance highlight Monday evening’s biweekly City Council meeting.
The governing panel will be asked to adjust the fixed license renewal date, the application window, one-time amnesty for license holders, including the amnesty application period and fee, and discretion in enforcing the ordinance overseeing over 250 such STR in that community. Councilman Russ Gardner came away impressed by the process and the changes when it was discussed during last week’s workshop.
In addition, the governing panel should decide on proposals for the refreshing of the city’s logo and branding, as well as establish municipal goals and priorities for Fiscal 2027.
The 6:30 PM Saugatuck City Council business session is in the second-floor meeting room of Saugatuck City Hall (102 Butler St.). An online link to the agenda and supporting documents is here.
