HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 5, 2026) – Although the temperatures are moderating, it’s still cold enough for the annual mid-winter celebration of the season in downtown Holland.
As Kara deAlvare of the Principal Shopping District explains, patrons are encouraged to be outside on Friday and Saturday for Holland on Ice.
While the carvers will be at work in the GDK Park, some of the pre-event creations will be on display in front of a number of retailers along 8th Street, including some large interactive ice sculptures and games. Other activities include a 5K “fun run” on Saturday morning, along with a Meltdown Sale by many stores in conjunction with the festivities. The nearby Holland Ice Park will be open, and downtown Social District guidelines will be in place.
