Hope College split a pair of games with Albion last night. At DeVos Fieldhouse, Brendan Cargill had 30 points, as the Flying Dutchmen prevailed, 95-72. For the women at Kresge Gymnasium, Meghan Trewhella’s 24 points helped the Britons win in overtime, 60-54. Hope’s teams face Adrian on Saturday afternoon, with the Bulldogs hosting the men, and the women meeting in Holland.
Grand Valley State’s basketball teams welcome the Northern Michigan Wildcats to the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale this evening.
In state major-college basketball last night, Oakland defeated Purdue Fort Wayne, 74-65.
