Lloyd O. Schrotenboer

Lloyd O. Schrotenboer, age 82, passed away on January 19, 2026, after a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He was born on August 15, 1943.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Grace Schrotenboer; his beloved wife, Rachel Schrotenboer; his brother, Eugene Schrotenboer; and his parents-in-law, Nelson and Jeneatte Dekker and Stanley and Albertha Klein.
He is lovingly survived by his children: Rick and Deanna Schrotenboer, Jodi and Dave Schierbeek, and Stacey and John Pluger. He was a proud grandfather to Nicole and Nichalis Goodrich, Corey and Alexandria Schrotenboer, Allison and Connor Davis, Chad Schierbeek, Denise Schierbeek, Courtny Schierbeek, JD and Ashlhi DeYoung, Alexis Boetsma, and Morgan Boetsma, and was blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought him great joy. Lloyd spent many years working at West Shore Construction, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication, before retiring. Outside of work, he found happiness in hunting, fishing, and camping, passions that reflected his love for nature and the outdoors. Above all else, Lloyd cherished time spent with his family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Hamilton Christian Reformed Church, 3596 47th St. Hamilton. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 23, at Hamilton CRC. Memorial contributions may be given to Love Inc. of NW Allegan County or People Helping People of Pullman.
