Sharon Oosting, age of 91, of Holland, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Sharon and her husband Wesley raised their family in Holland. Together they owned the laundromat on 32 and Lincoln, and for many years Sharon worked in the bakery at Family Fare. Sharon enjoyed the connections she made with customers and friends, and the relationships she built over the years.
She loved vacationing, her favorite spot was at the cottage on Fremont Lake, a special place that held wonderful memories. A longtime member of Providence Church, Sharon’s faith was a central aspect of her life, guiding her through both challenges and joys.
Sharon also cherished time with her family and, and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children: Chris (Sheryl) Oosting, Dale (Sheryl) Oosting, Sheryl (Michael) Bierling; grandchildren: Melissa (Randy) Crum, Victoria Oosting, Alisha (Phil) Dalton, Grant Oosting, Wesley (Meredith) Bierling, Nicole (Gideon) Curtis; as well as great-grandchildren.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Oosting and her grandson Jeremie Oosting.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Sharon’s life will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Providence Church, 821 Ottawa Avenue, Holland, MI 49423. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, January 11, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th Street, Holland, MI 49423.
Memorial contributions may be given to Holland Christian Schools or Parkview Home.
