GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 16, 2026) – More details have emerged, including an arrest and arraignment of a 41-year-old Grand Rapids man, following a January 7th shooting incident near Jenison High School.
On Friday, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office announced that Reshard Felder was apprehended without incident the day before, and was arraigned in Hudsonville District Court on multiple felony charges. Judge Judy Mulder ordered him held on $500,000 bond.
In the 5:30 AM incident nine days ago, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the area of Bauer Road and 24th Avenue. They found a unnamed 50-year-old person with a non life-threatening gunshot wound, with no sign of the suspect. It was determined that there was no threat to the general public, or to students, teachers and staff at Jenison High, stemming from this incident.
Further investigation not only disclosed the identity of the wanted person, but with the help of the US Marshal’s Fugitive Team, Felder was brought to justice.
