HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Two motorists were hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday morning just west of the Zeeland city limits.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Christie Wendt, first responders were dispatched to the intersection of 104th Avenue and Chicago Drive shortly after 9 AM. “An investigation shows that a Hyundai SUV, driven by a 73-year-old Zeeland woman, was westbound on Chicago Drive,” Wendt said in a department statement. “An Audi A4, driven by a 47-year-old (Holland) man was southbound on 104th Avenue. The driver of the Hyundai stated that she had a green light and was struck in the intersection by the southbound vehicle.”
Both motorists were taken to “area hospitals” for treatment of undisclosed injuries, as the crash remains under investigation.
