Brandon J. Walker-Rocha, age 34, of Holland, passed away in his sleep on Christmas morning, 2025.
Born on September 12, 1991, Brandon was truly an angel and a cherished sidekick to his family. With a loving, caring nature and an unwavering smile, Brandon had an incredible ability to brighten anyone’s day. He was known for giving the world’s best hugs and his favorite saying, “You Make My Heart Happy,” perfectly encapsulated his uplifting spirit.
Brandon found pure bliss in the water, whether it was swimming in pools or lakes or enjoying boat rides. His love for animals, tractors, firetrucks, and trains showcased his playful and adventurous soul. A proud graduate of Sparta High School, his journey continued at the Lincoln Developmental Center, and he was most recently active in Preferred Employment and Living Supports.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Kathleen (Walker) Bailey; his father and step-mother Rosendo and Dania Rocha Jr.; his sisters: Maria Rocha, Melania Rocha, and Kaitlyn and Brad (Bailey) Burns, and his niece, Hadley Burns; grandparents: Ronald and Linda Walker, Maria Madica, and Rosendo Rocha Sr.; aunts and uncles: John Rocha, Renee Rocha, Tony and Barb Walker, Scott and Jennifer Walker, Renee and Brian Race, and Ragina Walker; cousins: Gabriel, Renee, and Luis Rocha, Lucas, Logan, and Tessa Walker, Asa, Sam, and Stella, Walker, and Molly Race; also surviving is his step-father, Shawn and Kathy Bailey as well as many extended Bailey family.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1120 4 Mile Rd NE Grand Rapids, MI 49525. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday, January 2, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th Street, Holland, MI 49423. Additionally, there will be visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at church on Saturday, prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Special Olympics of Grand Rapids or to Preferred Employment and Living Supports.
