Harvey Zeeryp, age 89, of Hamilton, passed away on November 15, 2025.
Harvey worked for Consumers Power for many years, a role he sometimes described as “pumping gas,” though his true contributions were far more complex and significant. Driven by a strong work ethic, he took on a second job to provide his children with extra joys in life, including snowmobiles and other treasured experiences.
Harvey had a wealth of knowledge about various subjects and was a passionate enthusiast for landscaping, deriving immense satisfaction from the beauty of his yard. Additionally, he pursued his love for aviation, proudly attaining his student pilot’s license and enjoying the freedom that flying offered.
Harvey is survived by his children: Judy & Glenn Zoerman, Bryan & Laurie Zeeryp, and Gary & Christine Zeeryp; grandchildren: Brian & Jennifer Acterhof, Klint & Judy Thorne; numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings: Elda Coleman and Ben Zeeryp.
Harvey was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Cleo Mae Zeeryp in 2019; also preceding in death are his parents, Herman & Ada Zeeryp; his brothers: Ray, John, Bernard, and his sister Margaret.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at East Saugatuck Church, 3815 56th St, Holland, MI 49423. Prior to the service, visitation will take place starting at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to Gentiva Hospice. Arrangements are by Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th Street Holland, MI 49423.
