ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 6, 2025) – The creative talents of an 11th grader at Zeeland West High School has been noted.
Zeeland Public Schools announced this past week that Jiho Lee won the Ottawa County Community Action Agency’s 2025 Walk for Warmth Poster Contest, saying that it was selected for its style, bold color, and thoughtful message about caring for neighbors in need. It will be the featured image for the annual fundraising effort, set for February 20th from the EV Construction headquarters off of East 6th Street in Holland, that looks to garner funds for those who are facing utility shutoff action due to their financial situation.
The Korean-born Lee, who moved to the US as a teenager, said that she took her inspiration for this poster from classic Olympic Games artwork, especially the 1980 Winter Games in Lake Placid, New York, tying in the message of communion and community spirit that both the Olympics and Walk for Warmth symbolize.
