HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 19, 2025) – A Lakeshore public school district is reaching out to its students, family and community to help in times of need.
On Wednesday, from 4:30 to 6 PM at the site of Maplewood Elementary School (925 Central Ave.), any Holland Public Schools family in need can get new winter coats, boots, gloves and hats from the Power H Shop. It was collected by 14 downtown Holland businesses who participated in a special drive through this past weekend.
Jason Craner is the district’s Director of Marketing and Communication.
This comes on the heels of Holland Public Schools’ effort to address food insecurity issues during the six-week-long federal government shutdown, with a special delivery of goods coming this past Monday afternoon.
These programs are part of the district’s Student Support effort, with a coordinator placed at each school to address the needs of students and their families.
