HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 16, 2025) – A 27-year-old Jenison man spent the overnight hours at Holland Hospital, recovering from gunshot wounds not considered life-threatening after a Saturday incident on Holland’s North Side.
That’s according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives, who were sent to the area of Douglas Avenue between Lakewood and River Avenues shortly after 9 PM. Several callers to Ottawa County Dispatch reported hearing gunshots around an unnamed restaurant/business, and the victim had already been taken to the hospital by the time first responders arrived.
It was learned that an argument inside of the establishment spilled into the parking lot outside, where the shooting apparently took place. A man pulled out a weapon and starting firing, striking the victim, along with sevreral unoccupied vehicles parked nearby.
There was no report of any immediate arrests as the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with any information on the matter is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
