HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 28, 2025) – Another step in the process of bringing to reality Holland’s newest attraction takes place on Tuesday.
At 9 AM, tickets will go on sale, only through the city’s recreation website, for those who wish to skate at the soon-to-be-open Holland Community Ice Park off of East 6th Street and College Avenue. Open skating ducats will go for $10 per person, which includes complementary skate rental. Separate curling reservations for up to 8 persons will also be available at $75 to $125 per session, depending on the date and time.
Holland Mayor Nathan Bocks explained why one needs to set aside a time to go skating there, as opposed to coming on the spur of the moment.
Public sessions, along with curling sheet openings, will be available six days a week, with Mondays being maintenance days, from the grand opening of November 14th through March 15th, weather permitting. Work on the $11 million project, which is part of the Window on the Waterfront Park, began in April of last year, thanks in part to a $1 million seed donation by the late philanthropist Frank Kraai.
