CHICAGO, IL (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears square off in a battle of slumping NFC North foes Sunday at Soldier Field.
Detroit is coming off a 41-25 loss to Houston Thanksgiving day that led to the firing of head coach Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn. The Lions have lost two in-a-row and four of their last five games to sit in the division basement at 4-and-7.
Chicago lost 41-25 at Green Bay this past Sunday for its fifth straight setback. Mitchell Trubisky returned to the starting role as the Bears dipped below .500 after starting 5-and-1.
The Bears rallied from 17 down to beat the Lions 27-23 in Week One.
Lions running back D’Andre Swift is out of concussion protocol but did not practice yesterday due to illness. Wide receiver Kenny Golladay, defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand and corner Jeff Okudah were also held out of drills with injuries.
