HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 17, 2025) – An ongoing effort to make and keep the public aware of financial scams in Ottawa County continues on Wednesday.
At 1 PM in the American House complex on Holland’s North Side (11911 James St.), Sheriff’s Detective Joe Monger will lead a presentation on what people need to be aware of when they are solicited over the phone, in person, or through texts and emails, warning them of dire consequences if they don’t send money immediately.
Law enforcement is not immune to being impersonated by these perpetrators, according to Sheriff Eric DeBoer.
These presentations are free and open to the public.
