HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 17, 2025) – The second evening of three League of Women Voters of the Holland Area candidate forums slated ahead of the November 4 municipal General Election was held on Tuesday night.
In two separate hour-long sessions, Marcia Bishop of the LWV asked two mayoral candidates and four city council hopefuls a series of questions posed by attendees. The first forum featured incumbent Mayor Nathan Bocks and challenger, Brian Everitt. The second forum spotlighted the two contested council races, with at large incumbent Quincy Bird challenged by Abby Klomparens, and third ward incumbent Belinda Sol challenged by Tim Marroquin.
The League of Women Voters of the Holland Area held a similar candidate forum in Zeeland last Thursday, and has another session set for next Thursday, September 25th, at 6:30 PM in Saugatuck High’s media center for council candidates in that city.
