ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 11, 2025) – The first of three League of Women Voters of the Holland Area candidate forums ahead of the November 4 General Election is on Thursday evening.
Six hopefuls for Zeeland City Council seats – challengers Andrew Bult, Kylee DeBoer, Ericka Humbert, Amy Langeland and Rebecca Perkins, along with incumbent Glenn Kass – were invited to answer questions from LWV’s Penny Shuff about why they want to serve on the governing panel.
The session is set for 6:30 PM at the Howard Miller Community Center (14 S. Church St.), with doors open about 20 minutes ahead of time. The public is welcome to attend and submit questions to Shuff for her consideration to ask the candidates.
There will be two other similar LWV forums slated for this election cycle. Two separate hour-long sessions are planned for September 16th in Council Chambers at Holland City Hall, one for mayor, and one for other council openings. Another forum is on September 25th at Saugatuck High’s Media Center for council candidates in that city.
