ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 9, 2025) – A 39-year-old Grand Rapids man who admitted taking over $15,000 in collectable trading cards from a Holland dealer last fall was sentenced on Monday.
Judge Matt Antkoviak in Allegan County’s 48th Circuit Court handed down a sentence of 10 months in the county jail, along with three years probation, and to pay over $15,000 in restitution, to Eric Cody. He surrendered to authorities shortly after the November 10th incident at Super Hideaway Gaming off of Washington Avenue, when he was spotted in nearby surveillance cameras. Earlier this year, he was handed a similar sentence in Kent County Circuit Court for similar break ins of retailers in Kentwood and Grandville.
