ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions have placed defensive tackle Danny Shelton and cornerback Desmond Trufant on the injured reserve list.
Shelton suffered a knee injury against Houston and Trufant aggravated an existing hamstring injury during the game against the Texans Thanksgiving Day.
Detroit activated rookie tight end Hunter Bryant off IR and moved defensive tackle Kevin Strong from the practice squad to the active roster.
The Lions are back on the practice field as they gear up for Sunday’s division match up with the Chicago Bears. Wide receiver Kenny Golladay, defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand and cornerback Jeff Okudah did not participate in drills yesterday due to injuries.
Wide receiver Danny Amendola, with a hip injury, and quarterback Matthew Stafford, with a thumb injury, were limited in practice.
