GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 28, 2025) – A 25-year-old Holland man could spend the next 25 years of his life in a federal prison.
Darian Howard was handed that sentence on Wednesday at US District Court in Grand Rapids after pleading guilty this past May to one count of sexual exploitation of a child. Two other similar charges against him were dropped in exchange.
The case stemmed from a November, 2024 call to 911 by an unnamed woman, accusing Howard of taking sexually explicit photographs of her three-year-old daughter. Authorities later found similar images of two other three-year-old girls, along with a video showing him sexually assaulting one of the victims.
