Born May 20, 1938, in Mooresboro, North Carolina, daughter of the late Gordon Holland and Zora E. Wilson, and sister of the late Henry Ray Holland. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her Lord and family. After many years of service, Betty retired from H.J. Heinz as head matron and later retired from Kmart of Holland. Betty was known for her biblical knowledge, love of her Lord and Savior, kindness, resilience, enjoyment of outdoor hobbies, and always being there for her family.
Betty is survived by her three daughters: Kimberly Vecchio, Tina Vecchio (Corey Nykamp), and Judi Vecchio (the late Mark Antos); grandchildren: Cheryl Guerrero (Benny), Tony Nichols (Stephanie), Jennifer Overweg (Brandon), Hermen Diaz III (Erin), Alexandria Shah (Nandeep), Jamie Walker (Eric), Jacquelene Ruff (Josh), 19 great-grandchildren and her beloved fur baby, Pandi.
Heaven has gained a loving and loyal angel that this earth will truly miss.
A visitation for Betty will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, Holland, MI 49424, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
