CROCKERY TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Two men were hospitalized in a single-vehicle crash near Nunica on Wednesday morning.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Christie Wendt, a westbound pickup truck on I-96 near the Cleveland Street/M-104 exit lost control on some black ice around 7 AM. The vehicle “went into the median, rolling several times, and came to rest on the shoulder of the eastbound lanes,” the officer explained.
The two unnamed men – the 36-year-old driver from Allendale and his 44-year-old passenger from an undisclosed residence – were taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital in Grand Haven for treatment of their injuries.
Wendt added that the motorists had been buckled up as the crash remains under investigation.
