OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 15, 2025) – A popular, free course offered by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is back.
Another “Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events” class is slated for the Main Conference Room at the county’s Fillmore Street complex (12220 Fillmore St.) in West Olive on Tuesday, September 30th. Sheriff Eric DeBoer says that word of mouth about previous sessions, in which thought-provoking and eye-opening strategies are offered for surviving such a life-threatening situation, have made this a long-running service offered by his department.
