ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 13, 2025) – Grand Valley State University has its spending plan in place for Academic 2026.
The Board of Trustees of the Allendale-based institution for higher education approved a $409 million budget on Friday. It includes what school officials say is a 1.8% increase in spending from the just-completed academic year, assuming a one percent hike in state support that hadn’t cleared the Legislature by the July 1 deadline, along with setting aside over $81 million in financial aid, a new high for the Lakers.
“With a strong understanding of the needs of both learners and job creators, Grand Valley is getting it right,. This university innovates and adapts to support today’s learners to meet the needs of the future, all while keeping a promise to deliver one of the best values in higher education.” – Board Chairwoman Elizabeth Emmitt
