HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 1, 2025) – An opportunity for Holland residents to learn more about how their community operates has returned.
Applications for the second annual Holland Ambassador Academy, set to run on Monday evenings from September 8th through November 10th, are now being accepted through a link on the city’s website. This 10-week course will allow a limited number of participants to learn in depth how city government functions through presentations from officials, directors and staffers, along with touring facilities and some hands-on learning.
According to City Manager Keith Van Beek, those in the program will get an understanding on how they can get involved in keeping Holland a great place to live, work and play.
There is no fee to participate, but a full 10-week commitment is requested, and there are other restrictions as well. It’s first-come, first-serve for this limited-space opportunity, with city residents 18 and older getting preference.
