SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jun. 23, 2025) – A few items are to be addressed by the Saugatuck City Council during its biweekly meeting on Monday evening.
After Shannon Stratton of the Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists’ Residence makes a presentation that should include details on the recently acquired former Douglas Library as its new Ox-Bow House, the governing panel will vote on some final amendments to the current municipal budget, which City Manager Ryan Cummins said in his pre-meeting memo should lead to a increase in revenue.
Council will also vote on offering employees changes in health plan options, based on higher-than-expected rate increases by the current health provider, and to allocate $5,000 to Holland’s Outdoor Discovery Center for Kalamazoo River Greenway plan projects. That would including appointing current Councilwoman Lauren Stanton to that greenway’s advisory board as a provision of the grant.
The 6:30 PM Saugatuck City Council business session is in the second floor meeting room of Saugatuck City Hall (102 Butler St.). An online link to the meeting agenda and supporting documents is here.
