Gary Schra, age 67, of Holland, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, following a brief battle with brain cancer.
Gary was a member of Faith Christian Reformed Church and worked as a pharmacist in the Holland area for over 40 years. He loved music and anything that brought his family and friends together, including game nights, playing with grandkids, camping, boating, and numerous handiwork projects.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Connie; children and grandchildren, Christin and Justin Lankheet (Cora, Levi, Lena), Joe and Becky Schra (Ellery, Jackson, Josie), Marc and Kelly Schra (Rowan, Ezra, Cole); mother, Marilyn Schra; siblings, Linda (Mel) VanderKooi, Don (Judy) Schra; parents-in-law, Jay and Carolyn Schreur; in-laws, Cathy (Mike) Fairchild, Doug (Gwyn) Schreur; several nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gene Schra.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Faith Christian Reformed Church, 85 W. 26th St. Holland with Pastors Jen Rozema and Chad Pierce officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Faith CRC. Memorial contributions may be given to Holland Christian Schools.
