Persistent rain continues to confound the Whitecaps in trying to get their six-game series against visiting Great Lakes going at Comstock Park. Following Tuesday night’s rainout, West Michigan’s scheduled doubleheader against the Loons yesterday was halted after two and a half innings in the opener due to inclement weather, with the two teams tied at 1-1. Therefore, the contest will – hopefully – resume this evening ahead of a slated seven-inning match at LMCU Ballpark.
