GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 18, 2025) – Four persons were injured following a two-vehicle crash along US-31 south of Grand Haven on Saturday afternoon.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Michael Tamminga following the incident shortly before 3:30 PM. It was determined that a northbound pickup truck apparently went through a red light at the intersection of Hayes Street and was struck by an eastbound sedan, causing it to roll over and landing upside down on the trunk road.
The 59-year-old woman driving the pickup, along with her 61-year-old male passenger, both of whom were from Hart, were taken to an undisclosed “local hospital” for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The sedan driver, a 28-year-old man, along with his 26-year-old female passenger, both of whom were from the Detroit suburb of Livonia, suffered minor ailments.
The crash remains under investigation.
