Dennis “Denny” James Lanting, 77, passed away at Holland Hospital in Holland, Michigan, on Monday, November 23, 2020. He fought a courageous battle against Covid 19 amid other existing conditions.

Denny worked at G.E. for 26 years until the plant closed in Holland, he then worked at ITC and Shoreline Container until his retirement. He was a proud veteran serving in the United States Army. Dennis was an avid NASCAR fan enjoyed model train sets and bird watching.

His son Brian preceded him in death in 1982. Denny is survived by Debbie his wife of 48 years, son Corey (Michelle) Lanting of Allendale, and his grandchildren Nicholas and Samantha. He is also survived by his sisters Ranee (Robert) Ringewold and Lorrie Lanting, brothers-in-law Mark (Sherry) Buter, Doug Buter and Karen Koll, a niece, several nephews and special friends Paul and Peggy Stempfly of Zeeland and Ed Link of Zeeland.

No services will be held and a private graveside service with military honors will be held at Lakewood Cemetery.
