ALLENDALE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 3, 2025) – Images of a suspect who was hungry in the Allendale area a week ago, but not necessarily for food, are now public.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance video images of a person of interest apparently breaking into one of three eateries in the area of Lake Michigan Drive (M-45) and 48th Avenue around 1 AM on March 27th. An alarm, which was triggered at the Peppino’s Pizzeria and Sports Grille, brought deputies and detectives to the scene, and not only did they find signs of forced entry there, but also at the nearby Jet’s Pizza and Dairy Queen eateries.

All three of the establishments had been closed at the time, with no employees or patrons inside. Video evidence indicated that the same man, working alone, entered the building and pried open cash registers, taking an undisclosed amount of cash. The effort of a canine from the Wyoming Police Department to track down the suspect was unsuccessful.
Sheriff’s detectives are treating all three incidents as related, and anyone with any information is asked to contact Ottawa County Central Dispatch (800-249-0911) or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
