Gloria Faye Lohman, age 81, of Hamilton, went to be with her Lord Monday, March 10, 2025, at Resthaven Care Center on 40th St.
Gloria enjoyed cooking, especially known for her homemade bread, pumpkin, sweet treats, and goulash. She enjoyed tending to her beautiful garden, where she took great care of her roses. She loved canning, sewing, and crocheting. Beyond that, she took great joy in seeing her grandchildren, where they would find themselves often watching Peter Pan, many other films, and taking trips in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
She worked at Hayworth for 25 years and had several Boston Terriers throughout her life, whom she loved entirely.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Lohman; her parents, Dennis and Stella Top; her sister, Evelyn; her two brothers, Merl and Ivan; and her two grandsons, Caleb and Joshua.
She is survived by her children, Linnay (Mark) Dugger, Carla (Curt) Windemuller, and Sheila (Todd) Hoekstra; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She will always be remembered for her beautiful smiles, endless happiness, and her tendency to be quite the prankster. She held an innate kindness to all, becoming everyone’s friend anywhere, and any place.
Her daughters say that you could hardly stand still before you would find her befriending a stranger, no matter the circumstance.
A small private family gathering will be held in Riverside–Hamilton Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a contribution in Gloria’s name to either the Hospice of Holland or Resthaven Care Center.
