Veuy Phonxana, age 77 of Holland passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
She is survived by her children: Maloythong and Thonglo Rattanasombath, Bouavang and Kek Phonxana, Bouavone and Pheuy Phonxana, Bouavong and Sue Phonxana, Bouavanh “Erika” and Xay Manosack, and Monica and Bo Phonxana Vongphrachanh; 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; her siblings: Souk Inthisane, Phillip Senebouttarath, Song Phonsana, and Loi Xayasane.
Veuy was preceded in death by her husband Boun Phonxana in 1995.
Veuy and her family came to the United States from Laos in 1980, they were sponsored by Hamilton Reformed Church. Clifford and Lois Sale helped Veuy and her family adjust to life in West Michigan. Veuy first worked in food service at Hope College and then she worked at Tiarra Yachts until her retirement.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday, February 28, 2025, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 Eat 16th Street, Holland. Her funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Hamilton Christian Reformed Church, 3596 47th Street, Hamilton. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery
