This evening in boys’ action, Unity Christian faces Holland Christian at the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place, West Ottawa is at Zeeland West, Saugatuck entertains Watervliet, and Black River is at Lawrence. Also tonight, Black River’s girls are at Fennville.
Caden VanHuis, a three-sport star at Holland Christian High School, was named yesterday as a finalist for the MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award, which honors those who have excelled in the classroom and athletically. The Central Michigan University-bound senior could emerge as one of 32 $1,000 winners spotlighted during the boys’ basketball finals at Michigan State University on March 15th; those 32 winners will be announced next month.
