ALLENDALE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 14, 2025) – The drivers involved in a two-vehicle collision in Allendale on Tuesday morning were hospitalized in critical and stable condition, respectively.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cal Keuning following the 11:10 AM collision on Lake Michigan Drive (M-45) and 68th Avenue that caused both vehicles to go off of the roadway. One of the vehicles was heading southbound through the junction, but it was not disclosed if that vehicle was in the right of way, or in which direction the other vehicle was traveling at the time.
The southbound driver, a 17-year-old Allendale man, was taken to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, while the other motorist, a 69-year-old Allendale woman, had to be extricated from her vehicle and was taken to Corewell-Butterworth Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
