Roland “Rollie” LeRoy Oshier, 82, of Zeeland, MI, passed away on January 11, 2025.
Born on August 4, 1942, in Lafayette, IN, to Rollin and Edith Oshier. He later moved to Holland and graduated from Holland High. He had a 35 year career at Donnelly working as a Vacuum Chamber Operator in the mirror manufacturing industry.
Rollie was a passionate fisherman, particularly fond of walleye fishing, and cherished moments spent traveling and volunteering in his community and beyond. A member of First CRC in Zeeland, he was a devoted follower of his Savior.
Rollie is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Aldajean Oshier; daughters: Dawn Morris and Denise Oshier; grandchildren: Megan (Brad) Ash, James (Kayla) Morris, Jonathan (Siarra) Hoolsema, Ariana Hulst; 2 greatgrandchildren; sister, Mary Ann (Solon) Dewitt; in-laws: Mardean Sterenberg, Dar Van Den Bosch, Lindsay Van Den Bosch; as well as extended family and friends.
Rolland was preceded in death by his parents, Rollin and Edith Oshier, and by his brother-in-law, Cal Van Den Bosch.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 17, 2025, at First CRC, 15 South Church Street, Zeeland, MI 49464. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM on Thursday, January 16, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland, MI 49464. Memorial contributions can be made to American Red Cross Disaster Relief Services or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
