PRESS RELEASE (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 30-year-old Dorr resident suffered serious injuries in a Jamestown Township crash, just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies learned a 46 -year-old Wayland man had been driving east on Byron Road, but didn’t stop for the sign at Eighth Avenue in Jamestown Township. That intersection has stop signs on all four corners.
The 30-year-old man from Dorr, who had been northbound on Eighth Avenue, had started through the intersection after stopping at the sign, police said, when the Wayland man’s car crashed into the driver’s side of the Door man’s car, sending it into a third vehicle on Byron Road.
Jamestown Township firefighters extricated the Dorr man, who went by ambulance to Metro Hospital in serious condition, police said.
