HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 19, 2024) – When a governmental entity is in financial trouble, it makes headlines. When it is not, the news gets overlooked.
Such may be the case with the City of Holland, as Mayor Nathan Bocks and his fellow Council members received the annual independent audit of the Tulip City’s books, as conducted by Rehmann Robson.
The net position of the City, including BPW operations, grew by $38.8 million to over $690 million, with a general fund balance increase of nearly $2.7 million to over $14 million. A copy of the annual audit is available for public inspection at the city’s website, as well as from the offices of the City Clerk, City Finance Department, City Manager, and at the Herrick District Library.
