HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 2, 2024) – Suspects are being sought after a residence in Holland was apparently shot up over the weekend.
According to Department of Public Safety Captain of Administrative Services Bob Buursma, officers were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of West 19th Street around 11:15 PM on Saturday on a report of a drive-by shooting. The unnamed homeowner told the officers that he was inside of the residence when he heard popping sounds from outside, which he believed to be likely gunshots. When he stepped outside, he spotted holes on the siding of the house that looked as if it came from bullets. Witnesses collaborated the homeowner’s story, saying that they saw a vehicle speeding away that looked as if it was a mid-2000 vintage Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Nobody was hurt as the matter remains under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Public Safety (616-355-1150; policetips@cityofholland.com) or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
