Virginia (Ginny) Wenzel passed away on November 21, 2024, with family by her side in Holland, Michigan. She was born August 19, 1923, in Hamburg, North Dakota.
She is survived by her children Valerie Easterly of Holland, Myerie and Bill Johnson of Holland, Dennis and Darla Wenzel of Belding, MI, and Steven and JoAnn Wenzel of Lansing, MI.
She has 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a teachers’ aide for the West Ottawa school system for many years. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority for over 50 years and held many offices in the sorority.
She has always been the life of the party and loved to dance.
She was very creative. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, word searching, and adult coloring. She was active in these activities up until the day she passed.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, November 27 from 11:00am to 12:00pm, at the Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd street, Holland. A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm with Pastor Kelvin Kronemeyer presiding over the ceremony.
